During early Spring, finding Hot Hexers is just about as easy as finding dandelions sprouting on one's lawn. Only they're not annoying - just completely and utterly gorgeous. Unlike dandelions. Seriously, those things are disgusting. Anyhow, HEX might as well be one of those global fashion cities, what with the amount of awesome designs people sport around here.
First off, there's Almira, also known as Cin. We happened upon each other in The Leaky Cauldron and decided to sit down for a quick drink. Of course, I simply had to ask about her outfit! Cin was really working the Irish charm with her modern spin on the classic leprechaun costume. She had traded in the widely used green pants for a more interesting set of leggings, which were then paired with a black skirt. The skirt itself corresponded beautifully with her buckled kitten heels.
Cin told me, "I usually go with the classic look, but this year I was just feeling the need for a change. You know, it's always fun to try something new."
I have to heartily agree. If designs didn't try new color or pattern combinations, then the world of fashion would be a rather stagnant place. And then where would I be? Out of a job, most likely.
But let's not talk about that. -coughs-
After exchanging goodbyes with Cin, I was back out on the streets of Diagon Alley. I couldn't help but notice how festive DA was looking! Glittering shamrocks were hanging all across the various storefronts, drawing customers' eyes to different products on display. Every few minutes the shamrocks would burst, sprinkling emerald confetti along the cobblestone paths before reassembling themselves.
One particular shamrock was larger than the rest, and upon closer inspection I realized it was Harry_fun, or Ted! Around his shamrock costume, he had also wrapped chains of purple and gold beads. It seemed a weird combination of Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's, but it was working quite well for the boy.
When asked about his source of inspiration for the get-up, Ted had this to say: "Well, I saw how good DA was looking, so I decided to dress up like my beloved hangout place." He then stared into the front window of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor with a dreamy smile upon his face before claiming he needed to get back to work.
The last person I saw before starting to make my way home to write this article was none other than The Whisperer's newest addition, xMooneyx, although most know her as Holly. Decked from head to toe in Sherlock Holmes-esque attire, Holly totally looked the part of a reporter hot on the trail of a new story. Nothing screams Hot Hexer like a reporter with a lead! The fact that she clutched in her hands a Press Badge and was feverishly scribbling notes onto her Writing Set merely added to this fierce look, and I decided not to bother her during what was obviously a very busy moment.
Don't worry though, I'll get her fashion insight if it's the last thing I do! This reporter is ON IT.
