"Graphics?" You hear your friend ask as your walk down the long corridor on your way to the Great Hall.
"Yes. Graphics. It's one of those muggle things. Using a computer. You do know what that is, right?" You ask hesitantly.
"Of course! I'm a witch not an idiot!" She replies sharply.
"Ok, ok. Just checking!" You say, holding your hands up in a way to let her know to relax. "Anyway, graphics are made using a graphic designing program, and you can make awesome things with them! Such as advertisements, CD Covers, etc. They really are quite awesome."
"Ah," Your friend starts to say, "but what's the point of what you're telling me?" "Well, a rumor is going around that the Hufflepuff staff was able to find a way to get computers, and they're holding contests to see who can make the best graphics!"
Well, HEXers, it's not a rumor, it's true! For the past few weeks the Huffie's been holding an event that will definitely allow those who know how to design graphics to show off their skills!
This was truly a unique event, one that I haven't seen around during my two years on HEX, so I know that it's popularity was definitely guaranteed! And sure enough, several people participated in the events and they had tons of fun.
Some contests were:
1. Designing avatars.
2. Coloring in a picture.
3. Blending different Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Stills.
And many more!
And the prizes were something that caused everyone to flock and give graphics a chance. Especially when they included prizes such as:
1. A bunny keychain.
2. Galleon prizes.
3. A Foe Glass.
4. A Camera.
5. A Hufflepuff Locket
I'm sure several HEXians will agree with me; we are certainly thankful for this fun event, and we're looking forward to the next graphics event!
